It’s summer time in Eastbourne, the famous sun trap of the south and what better way to celebrate the long awaited gorgeous warm and sunny weather than by treating yourself and the children to a visit to Fusciardi's Ice Cream Parlour. So famous is Fusciardi’s that children who visited in their childhood are returning with their children and grandchildren to experience the unmistakable taste of the seaside and of course, real Italian ice cream that’s actually made each day on the premises.
Eastbourne is not just famous for its brilliant sun as the town has been famous for many years for this unique Italian ice cream parlour on the seafront between the Pier and the Redoubt. Fusciardi’s situated in Marine parade, offer every ice cream lover that little bit extra because the family makes the ice cream on the premises to the Italian recipe that has made the Fusciardi family famous on the south coast since the fifties.
The Fusciardi (pronounced Fushardy) family have built an enviable reputation for providing absolutely lovely cappuccino coffee and a long list of alternative beverages. The long list of coffee alternatives will satisfy the most demanding customer. Those wishing to just sit down with a pot of tea and a cake will be equally satisfied.
The restaurant serves a wide range of freshly prepared hot and cold food, salads, generous sized jacket potatoes with a superb choice of fillings, soups and toasted paninis. It’s not surprising that the Fusciardi family has a host of well deserved awards on display from diplomas to business awards. The wide range of flavours of delicious ice cream is just enormous! Customers enjoy the vast array of choice of traditional 99’s to an exciting and mouth watering selection of cones to the almost extravagant Fusciardi collection of ice cream sundaes containing fresh fruit and cream and the famous Fusciardi’s knickerbocker glorys.
Not wishing to rest on there laurels, family members regularly travel to food expos and shows to ensure that the customer is enjoying all the benefits of the very latest in coffee making equipment and food preparation techniques.
Customers are warmly welcomed by the friendly staff that have many years of service at Fusciardis between them.
Three generations of the Fusciardi family have lovingly kept up the tradition of this fabulous experience that is unique to Eastbourne and probably, unique to the coastline of Britain.
